How are you feeling today?

Last week we focused on emotions.  Our class is at the age where they are aware of some emotions but sometimes don't know how do express what they are feeling.  We talked about some different feelings, when we have those feelings and what we can do to deal with some difficult feelings.  We will be continuing to talk about these feelings and learn different coping  mechanisms.
We played feeling games, sang feeling songs, read lots and lots of books about feelings and did some feelings projects.  Please encourage your child to talk to your about their feelings!

Feelings cube in action:     "I feel so calm Morah."
One of our favorite parts of the unit was our feelings cube- Morah's took pictures of every yeled acting out different emotions and we use the cube all the time for expressing the way we every time were feeling.
Hope you all enjoyed our feelings chart that we sent home last week. Instead of happy and sad the yeladim are learning descriptive words to tell us what's going on. We use the words Excited, Shy, Lonely, Frustrated, Surprised, Worried, Funny to describe our feelings.
Book Suggestion:
This is a wonderful Jewish book about Avi's feelings
